Eye Clinic Sydney
If you are having difficulty with your vision you probably need to visit an eye clinic. Sydney has many eye clinics with various levels of service. Most are comprehensive eye clinics, which are available to members of the public. Examinations are conducted only by appointment, however, a referral letter is not required.
Patients who have special requirements may be seen for eye examinations and many eye clinics conduct these exams at no cost to the patient. All of the patients who attend the clinic will receive a comprehensive eye examination. This exam will include:
- Taking a careful medical and ocular history.
- A discussion of symptoms and assessment of the patient’s visual needs.
- An assessment of the focusing ability of the eyes, binocular vision, and visual acuity.
- An evaluation of the age related changes of the vision and the ocular health of the patient.
When it is appropriate, all patients will receive a complete exam of the internal eye. After the examination, a discussion of the results will be conducted and the necessary course of action will be taken and, if required, a prescription will be issued.
If glasses are required, most clinics have a complete glass dispensing facility which includes an extensive collection of accessories, glasses, safety glasses, lenses, and fashion frames.
So if you aren’t seeing as well as you used to and think you may need glasses, you may want to visit an eye clinic. Sydney is a good place to start your search.
